Multi award-winning singer, Robyn Stapleton, performs the songs of her Scottish and Irish heritage in the Scots, English and Gaelic languages. She is best known for her deeply emotive performances of traditional song and has collaborated with many of Scotland’s finest instrumentalists and leading ensembles. Accompanied by the BBC Scottish Symphony Orchestra, she has performed at Proms in the Park and for the BBC’s Burns Night celebrations.

Robyn was brought up in rural Galloway and has become one of the most respected interpreters of Scots poetry and song. Radio performances include a Radio 4 Christmas special alongside Oscar-winning actor Jim Broadbent and a special commission for legendary radio programme, Desert Island Discs.

Her most recent solo album – Songs of Robert Burns – has been met with critical acclaim. It is a collection of the much-loved songs of Scotland’s national bard, spanning the themes of humanity, power, love and nature (5 Stars, The Scotsman).
